The power of kindness in everyday struggles

Austine Nazynita in Cultural attire

Austin Nazynita reflects; A heartfelt message about strength, kindness, and the unseen struggles many of us carry every day.

Sometimes, the most beautiful posts we scroll past, hide stories of pain, and today, I want to talk about why kindness matters more than ever.

We all come online for different reasons: to share joy, discover inspiration, or just escape for a moment. But beneath the surface of those smiles and stunning photos are people choosing to be strong.

Not only for themselves but for those around them. Many are silently fighting battles we can’t see.

That’s why kindness isn’t just a nice gesture; it can be lifesaving. When we reach out, listen, or simply show we care, we may be helping someone keep going.

So, ask yourself: Can people confide in you? Are you that friend who listens without judgment?

Recent news has shaken many hearts. The loss of Alex Ekubo stunned many, and the blame placed on him for “not speaking up” makes us question our own roles.

What if it had been someone you know, someone ordinary? Would you have noticed their pain? Would you have helped?

In the same breath, we mourn the passing of a talented Ghanaian actress to cancer, a reminder that illness and hardship touch lives everywhere.

Cancer is a harsh reality, but there is another kind of cancer that often gets overlooked, a cancer of unrealised potential. It’s the pain of never fully living the life you were gifted to live.

Every day, talents and ideas fade into silence because they lack support. Sometimes, people share their struggles artfully through words and posts, but we focus on the pretty pictures and miss the cries for help. That disconnect breaks my heart.

If you have the power to help someone, don’t wait until it’s too late. Show up, listen, support, and encourage while they’re still here. Kindness is a gift that can revive spirits and save souls.

Let’s remember: there is much to unlearn, not just in knowledge, but in how we see and treat each other. The world needs more empathy, more listening, more love.

If you can, be kind. Save a soul.
