It remains absolute that iron sharpens iron. In the exact same manner, human beings must intentionally sharpen and support their fellow humans in the relentless achievement of their dreams.
Nobody successfully climbs a towering wall without someone below or above offering them a strong hand up. Offering an individual a helping hand is the primary way we teach the next generation how to invest in the collective human race.
Most globally successful figures only reached their heights because they encountered Destiny Helpers who offered them a foundational hand up. Yet, we must confront a painful truth: why is this vital practice becoming so terrifyingly rare across the African continent? Why do we step on the hands trying to climb up behind us? It is because our people have completely lost sight of the true essence of investing in human souls.

A severe psychological disease plagues our contemporary space. The moment an individual attains a certain height in life, they immediately develop an aggressive craving to look superior, actively viewing everyone beneath them as fundamentally inferior. This toxic ego inflation is what we must honestly call out as a corrupted aspect of the modern “African mentality.”
When many people make it in life within our society, they do not seek to build highways for others to follow. Instead, they secretly wish the entire road to success could be in complete blockage and in permanent seal so that nobody else can ever pass through it. Why do we harbor such a dark disposition? We must be candid enough to admit it: it is because we have allowed ourselves to become a bunch of greedy people, obsessed with being the only shining light in a neighborhood of darkness.
Furthermore, anyone who possesses the courage to rise up and criticize these destructive internal practices within Africa is almost under instant attack and the label as a “White supremacist worshipper.” This defensiveness points to a massive hypocrisy. We must tell ourselves the truth: many of us are acting out an intense internal prejudice that mirrors the very systemic racism we claim to fight.
When external forces look down on the Black race, it is often not because of a simple, random hatred for our beautiful skin color. Rather, it is because of the tragic way some of our own people continuously portray themselves on the global stage. Through our internal corruption, lawlessness, and refusal to build our own home, we make a majestic race look like an unrefined, chaotic collective.
Confronting the Cold Truth of External Criticism
I am a proudly African man. I am profoundly proud of my deep skin color, my heritage, and the rich soil of my ancestors. But we must say the truth, no matter how much it stings the ego. Years ago, when external political leaders flippantly referred to African nations as people originating from “shithole countries,” a massive wave of emotional fury swept across social media. Millions of our youths took to their keyboards, expressing intense anger and righteous indignation.
But if we step away from emotional reactivity and analyze our reality with cold, calculated logic, can we honestly say there was no element of truth in that harsh assessment? Look closely at our systems. When you look at a continent where the dominant, successful elite harbor the destructive mentalities of “I want to succeed entirely alone,” and “I want everyone else to worship my wealth,” you must ask yourself: what kind of advanced human thinks like that? That is the survival thinking process of the jungle, not the architecture of a great civilization.
We have spent decades blaming external governments, historical misfortunes, and bad political leadership for 100% of our daily misfortunes. Yet, as a populace, we have never truly taken the necessary time to rigorously examine our own internal psyche. Consider the vast array of millionaires we have scattered across the different countries of Africa today. If these wealthy individuals truly understood what “society building” actually means, they would not focus their entire fortunes on buying obscenely expensive, luxury properties abroad in London, Dubai, or Paris simply to show off to their peers.
They would not hoard capital in foreign banks while millions of highly educated, brilliant, and unemployed graduates are currently roaming the hot streets of Africa with rotting potentials. Our wealthy elite are busy building the economies of their historical colonizers while leaving their own homeland to starve.
The Muddying of Our Global Reputation
Because of this systemic failure to invest in our human resource, the domestic crime rate is continuously increasing across every major city. Internet scams, fraudulent syndicates, and cybercrimes have catastrophically become the order of the day. Worse still, our society has begun to normalize this rot, viewing criminality as a clever “way of life” or a justifiable hustle.
Tell me, how can we ever expect to prove ourselves as trustworthy, dignified partners outside our own continent when we have aggressively dragged our collective reputation through the deepest mud? Trust is the ultimate currency of global commerce. When our youth prioritize quick fraudulent schemes over long-term skill mastery, we lock ourselves out of the international marketplace.
We frequently look back in history and admire the legendary icons, philosophers, and statesmen who brilliantly represented Africa in various facets of the world across different intellectual eras. But we must ask a critical generational question: who in this present generation is genuinely striving to be like one of those great, dignified Icons of Africa?
The tragic reality is that the vast majority of our youth today care absolutely about nothing but fast money. They have been in total blindness by the glitz of social media to see raw cash as the single, solitary proof of human success. Character, legacy, intellectual depth, and community transformation remain in negligence for the frantic chase of material vanity.
Waking Up from the Colonial Slumber
So much has gone terribly wrong in the fabric of our society, yet we continue to passively accept these anomalies as an unchangeable way of life. We continuously blame the “colonial era” for our current economic misfortunes, our systemic lack of infrastructure, and our lack of earlier global exposure.
But let us look at the calendar: are we still actively in colonial era today? No, we are not. Why, then, can we not find the collective strength to finally shake ourselves and wake up from this long, spiritual slumber? An average citizen in our society no longer knows what it truly means to honestly strive for success using their unique, God-given potential. We have fallen into a lazy, binary mentality: “It is either the government must do it for us, or we will do it our own illegal way.”
And what exactly is our “own way”? It is the path of engaging in highly illegal, deeply fraudulent, and destructive activities just to scratch out a material living. If this remains our dominant strategy, we must confront the terrifying timeline ahead: what will become of the next generation that will inherit the earth after us? Will self-respecting people even want to live on this continent after we pass away? What are the toxic examples and broken blueprints we are actively setting for our children today?
The Ultimate Restoration: Healing a Sick Psyche
There are so many urgent questions that desperately need answers, yet nobody in corridors of power or popular culture seems to care about these inquiries. Why this absolute silence? Because our collective psyche is very, very sick. We are suffering from a deep mental paralysis where we choose to blame historical colonialism for 100% of our self-inflicted injuries, including the fresh wounds we are willingly inflicting upon ourselves every single day through greed, tribalism, and systemic corruption.
The need to rise aggressively above these poor, limiting mentalities, is unquestionable. We must do the deep internal work on our psyches to rebuild and restore a magnificent continent that has been in gross plunder, not just by foreign invaders, but by the reckless, overambitious, and short-sight greed of its own citizens.
The African continent, like any other sovereign territory on this planet, possesses absolutely everything it takes to achieve elite greatness. Nature has blessed our soil with unparalleled mineral wealth and our people with brilliant, resilient minds. If the outside world still regard us as “bush people” or a second-class race, it is entirely because we completely fail to utilize, sharpen, and structure the native greatness in us.
Because we refuse to build our own house, our finest brains and strongest hands are continuously migrating all over the world, enduring dehumanizing conditions in foreign lands just in search of greener pastures. We must stop running away from our own soil. We must realize the immediate, non-negotiable need for massive Human Investment. By pouring our wealth, our mentorship, and our resources into educating, employing, and empowering the minds of our youth, we can completely erase the cancers of corruption and criminality from our borders. We must sharpen each other, heal our psyche, and build an empire that commands global respect.
