When Actions Become Contradictory, Reactions Become Chaotic And Noise Becomes Deafening, Without A Reasonable Sound. Amidst The Deafening Silence, Do You Pay Attention To Your Own Voice?
When actions are contradictory and the environment feels chaotic and deafening, turning toward one’s own voice is not just a form of self-care, it is often the only way to navigate through the noise.
In such situations, your inner voice often becomes critical. However, it is mostly ignored due to existing convictions or is difficult to listen to because of external noise or the bandwagon effect.
But, the need to pause, ignore the noise, stop waiting for answers when there’s already a deafening silence, and take a retreat to reconnect with your inner self can never be overemphasised.
When there are no answers or accountability for contradictory actions, which triggered a chaotic reaction. Instead of being affected by the bandwagon effect and becoming who you are not, it is better to retreat into a sanctuary or its equivalent, to listen to your own inner voice and be yourself.
Because your inner voice will guide you into your own truth which was embedded in your soul even before you were born. Your inner voice is the;
● Anchor: In a “deafening” environment, your inner voice provides a grounding force, helping you differentiate between external chaos and your own reality.
● It Guides Authenticity: When actions around you are contradictory, your internal dialogue, guided by your core values; helps you remain authentic rather than reacting chaotically.
● It Cultivates Reason: “Without a reasonable sound” implies a lack of logic, truth and accountability. Paying attention to your inner voice allows you to bring logic, intuition, and reason to an irrational situation.
Despite the invaluable disposition of this “inner voice” and how it guides one through one’s own path in life, the majority mostly ignore this inner voice or tend to whisk it away because of the convictions or beliefs they already hold firm or;
● The Volume of Noise: When external noise is extreme, it can drown out internal quietude. The reaction may necessitate a withdrawal and a retreat into oneself to maintain calmness and balance, to be able to have the required clarity to listen to one’s inner voice.
● Fear of the Truth: Sometimes, our own inner voice tells us truths we are not yet ready to face, making the chaotic noise a comfortable distraction.
Amidst that deafening silence, your own voice is the only guide that knows the way out. And yes, it is essential to pay attention to it.
This is a profound, almost poetic observation about the limits of human endurance.
When the outside world becomes so contradictory and loud that it paradoxically turns into a “numbing silence,” one’s own voice is often the only thing that can still offer orientation.
When the outside world (the action or reaction) becomes chaotic, I always return to these basic principles to remain logical and they have been helpful.
For another person, this may often mean Paying Attention to Your Own Voice. In such moments;
● Set a filter: Deliberately block out external noise to hear your own intuition again.
● Maintain integrity: Acting according to one’s own values, even if the environment reacts inconsistently.
● Self-care: Recognising that you don’t have to bear the burden of clarification alone in a “deaf” system.
It is a decision to place one’s own truth above external chaos.
