If Life Is A Football Pitch; We Have To Score Like Ronaldo No Matter Our Distance From The Goalpost

We Are Bound To Set Goals Irrespective Of Our Position In The Pitch And Distance From The Goalpost. A Tactic That Kept Ronaldo Somewhat Ahead Of His Peers

On a football pitch, if every player tends to be in the correct position before attempting to score, we will only hear of a few goal scorers today.

Good players attempt to hit the net no matter their position, especially when there’s no teammate around whom to pass the ball.

Life itself is a football pitch; the people we meet in life are our teammates, and our success is the goal.

While we can always attempt to score a goal regardless of our position and distance from the net, a good player first plans his moves before moving his legs in the direction he wants the ball to go.

Players like Christian Ronaldo wouldn’t mind hitting the right side of the net even when the foot faces the left side. He’s a good player, isn’t he? He plans his moves regardless of time limitations.

He sees the goal from within, plans his moves, and attempts to achieve it before physically launching into action.

The goalkeeper at that point becomes confused, and while thinking about which direction to dive, C Ronaldo may not be thinking about which direction to play; he’s already scoring the goal by exploring the chances in every direction from within him.

Whilst the goalkeeper may be diving to the left side of the net in accordance with Ronaldo’s foot, Ronaldo would hit the goal at the right side, simultaneously with the diving of the goalkeeper to the left side.

It’s called proper planning! Explore every chance before making a move.

Goal: Outside the result one is attempting to achieve, especially in a sports competition, means having a positive foresight of the future.

Beginning early in life to make plans and set standards that will enable you cross the bridge of downfall and arrive at your own promised land in the future.

Setting goals is irrespective of what you are doing today and where you are now in the journey of success in life, because goals are positive dreams that you live and struggle in your everyday life to attain or bring to reality.

As an individual, your plans for yourself might be different from the plans your family or others have for you, but if you are sure of yourself, why not try your own plans and leave those of your family and others?

Most times, we live under the already built lives of our parents, so we forget to build our own lives. As a human being, you have a destiny and potential, and nobody will discover you for you, except you.

If you fail to plan, then the only alternative is to plan to fail, so to avoid failing, one ought to plan to succeed, regardless of the gold, silver and diamonds in one’s family background.

Those resources were acquired by people who planned and built their own lives; you, too, can also plan and build your life.

As someone who once found himself in the streets of South Africa, regardless of the background from which I came.

In fact, most times in the past, I did get discouraged and tell myself “I shouldn’t have been here”, but at the thought of ‘discovering myself, I always summoned courage to press forward.

Today, I am here. Not only trying to make a name and earn a living, but also leaving a legacy that will outlive me.

If I regarded my family background, I wouldn’t have left my comfort zone in the first place, to attain a height that felt like catching the wind.

Today, I’m not only a German citizen and proficient scriptwriter, but also a renowned blogger and web designer.

Amazingly, nobody taught me how to do most of the things I do now, but I self-taught.

All these didn’t come as a surprise to me; I was prepared from the onset. I knew I would suffer, and that’s the price I would have to pay for the massive success I intend to achieve and the great height I intend to attain.

Paying the price was bitter, but the fruit is sweeter. Now, I no longer have to write for money, but to help others discover themselves, because we are together on this journey as teammates.

Talking about ‘setting goals’, I would be using ‘street’ to identify the field of contemplation in the following;

* The kind of street one wants to enter: Street is not just a place to be stranded or become a prodigal.

Rather, a place outside one’s comfort zone where one can cope without aid from one’s family and be able to discover oneself and become somebody in life.

Knowing the kind of potential you have and what you can do will determine what kind of street you would enter.

* What can you do in the street? What do you have within you that can enable you to cope in the street? Even if it’s not nurtured, as long as you have it, you will meet those who will help you nurture it.

* What benefit would it bring you and the people in the street?: Some can only believe in your dream when they will benefit from it, and then will give you maximum support, which will ease your journey.

So think of something others can do together with you. Don’t work in solitude; in return, you would benefit from an easier journey. Although they will share in your success story, it’s worth it.

* Can such a street earn you a living? Nobody leaves their comfort zone to enter the street for nothing, don’t struggle for nothing, struggle for something that will yield fruits and success, so as not to have spent your time and energy in futility.

In return, they will yield financial benefits and take care of you as a person.

So once you find yourself struggling with your emotions in contemplation of leaving your comfort zone, first make proper plans for what is best you can do outside your comfort zone.

There is seldom a perfect time, but we can always make any time perfect through our chosen approaches and actions.

Your plans and potentials will carry you along as long as you don’t lose focus. Set that goal and go for it!

Whenever success comes calling, only the ever-ready ones do answer.
