The Virtue Of Patience Can Only Be Developed When We Master The Act Of Time Agnosia

Tree Outlook During Winter Season

Although Time Cautiousness Is Important. Where Patience Is Required, Time Cautiousness Becomes Null And Void Because Patience Is Irrespective Of Time, And Solemnly Depends On Our Ability To Wait For Certain Events To Occur, Or Fulfilment Of Promises

Much as ‘Time Agnosia’ is a health condition. The inability to sense the elapsing of time. In situations where being patient would be applied, Time Agnosia becomes a willful act.

When the driving factors that stimulate the occurrence of our awaited events or the fulfilment of promises depend on others, such as Mother Nature or the will of God, then we have no choice but to be patient and not time-cautious. That is being Timeless!

If you desire to be patient and at the same time mindful of your time, you can never be patient! Whatever has an advantage, we say, has its disadvantage.

Time Cautiousness is a virtue that encourages one to take action and not wait in vain, when time is running out with pending tasks.

Respect for time is the beginning of professionalism because one who doesn’t respect time has a possibility of limited success in life. Still, one who tends to respect time but can’t call to action regarding the fulfilment of a promise or an event to occur, must definitely exercise the virtue of ‘Patience’.

I’ve often heard people question how they can be patient. One can be patient when one understands that time is quick and triggers the pace at which events and seasons occur or recur.

That’s how time flies. However, we stress ourselves into high blood pressure and depression because of our inability to wait on time, as we tend to be time-conscious.

We might as well bear these four (4) things in mind;

* Waiting for the fulfilment of a promise:
At this juncture, we are at the mercy of others, especially those superior to us and we can’t manipulate or coerce them into fulfilling the promise. We can only wait on them.

Waiting on others can be daunting. At times, it feels like waiting for eternity, but when we have no control over their time, we might as well overlook our time, except that the promise is not worth the wait.

* Waiting for an event to occur: Here we don’t have the ability of ‘call to action’ and when it has to do with team, family or friends, then we can only play our own role and ignore our time so as not to find ourselves in a state of worry.

Frustration is one thing that may set in when we wait for others to make up their mind towards a goal. Or to be in concord with us to achieve a particular result.

When we have individual roles to play, we can also carry on without having to keep a record of their time; otherwise, we will experience mental stress.

* Waiting on Mother Nature:
Talking about Nature, I mean, the season. Some things happen seasonally, and while waiting on them and checking the date and time, it can lead to frustration and anxiety, which can affect our psychological well-being, as we can never constrain Nature, but can only wait.

While waiting on Nature, one should consider the speed at which seasons come and go, and be able to wait for the right season. Time flies, and the seasons fly with time.

* Waiting on God’s time:
God’s time, we always say, is the best. Only a few people can actually wait on God’s time due to their inability to be patient.

Watching the date and time for God is like pouring water on a rock because God is timeless.

One could be counting (10) years, while God is counting one (1) hour, and the only thing one can do is to wait, except one is uncertain of the outcome after the wait.

Otherwise, the patient is applicable, and that patient is towards one’s ability to ignore the date and time, as one waits on God’s time because both times differ.

Mastering the act of time negligence is when one has to depend on others as the driving factor. When one is in charge or is part of the driving factor, time negligence can be disastrous and avoidable.

Time Agnosia is never a sickness, especially when the virtue of patience is applicable.
